Help build our new community. At fotoblur we are building the next generation in photo sharing. We are a small group of passionate photographers who wish to receive quality critiques from our fellow photographers. If you'd like to receive serious critiques on your work, then we'd like to extend an invitation to you to come join us.

fotoblur

If you already know about fotoblur, then here is what we are currently working on:

Most photo sharing communities tend to keep your images hostage. What if you want to use that data elsewhere? Do these sites even give you the option of using this data wherever and however you wish? Most likely the answer is NO.

At fotoblur we are currently working on solving this issue for you. We've recently developed an API that will allow you to develop your own website with the data you submit to fotoblur. This will require some technical skills to fully utilize but for the less technical savvy, we are currently working on offering a prebuilt set of customizable solutions that you can host on your own website. This expands the fotoblur experience. While taking full advantage of the fotoblur community you'll have the freedom to control your images to present as you wish.

If you want to join a community that believes that you control your data...then check out fotoblur

If you haven't seen or been to fotoblur we're a small community of image creators, so give us some support and check us out: [link]

If you've already been to or joined fotoblur you might be interested to know that a user rating feature has been recently added. This system also has a summary display (stats link) to indicate who has the most votes for the last 7 days, most votes all time, most comments for the last 7 days, and the most comments all time.

Currently your rating is based on the votes you receive from your images and the number of image comments you leave.

The image comments value will soon change to use the same voting mechanism as the images (other users can vote on your comment excluding the image owner)...in other words the comment rating component won't be based on just the number of comments you leave but as to the quality of comments you leave.

This has been a gripe in many photo/networking sites (lack of good commenting) and fotoblur's aim is to tackle this issue head on.
